Edie frustrated me SO much because she was so self aware but did nothing to change (could never be me). Most of the time I didn’t know what the hell was going on but I kinda liked it? Probably should’ve read it with a dictionary nearby.

Did not care for the book. I rushed through the reading just so I could be done. I didn’t understand enough about the main character to root for her or to despise her. I only liked the Akilah character but it’s because she’s adopted by a white family living in a white neighborhood. Eric’s issues aren’t clear, the wife’s issues aren’t clear either. The police scene was unnecessary. Didn’t tickle my fancy.

Whipped through it and was really drawn into characters but did find ending slightly disappointing
