Overall a cute mystery story, but not my favorite of the series. Lately these books seem rushed and lacking in the quality storytelling that originally drew me to the series. Can't believe that this is book #15!

This book is terrific! Super funny with lots of adventure and mystery solving! I think this book would be really fun for some of our more reluctant readers. I think it would also be really fun to read aloud with a young reader. There is plenty here to talk about in addition to the actual text (ancient history, art history, manners, rebuses, etc.) and you could definitely follow it up with a visit to the public museum! This book (and, I hope, the series) was an absolute delight and far superior to some of the other intermediate fiction series I'm reading. I will recommend it highly to any kid who will listen.
I was inspired to read this because my coworker Tiffany's son really likes this series. Next time I see him, I'll have to ask for a book recommendation!
