This was cute, quick, and readable, but clear it was self-published.

I've seen others complain about romances that are too long, but this one was wayyy too short for me. The entire book felt kind of like the first act. The characters felt shallow and the conflicts contrite, and precious page space was spent on sex rather than character or relationship development. A lot happens off-screen, and while it didn't feel like we were missing much, that could've been expanded into some more useful scenes.

I didn't dislike anything about it, though. It felt like all the starting ingredients were there, but they were just stacked together instead of baked into a full cake.

The romance felt a bit rushed and insta-lovey, the characters didn’t really interest me either but overall it was an okay book.

This book came at the right time, as I needed to read some cute, fluffy romance book to enjoy and have a good laugh and a good read. Do you enjoy romance books? You got this.Do you like M/M stories? You got this. Do you want to read a cute, hilarious, romantic, spicy-ish story to forget about world problems? You got this. Honestly, this would fit every possible need I can come up with. It's a lighthearted, fluffy story, and I needed just that. Even if you don't like rom-com & co., there is definitely some potential for you to enjoy this book, and I say this as a twenty-something woman who doesn't describe as "romantic". So, go get this book, grab it, read it and thank me later, after laughing like an idiot or having heart-shaped eyes for Jordan and Rex's relationship.

This book was a very self aware, sweet, romantic romp.

It wasn't for me, but I think my complaints are kind of nitpicky. I didn't enjoy the pacing or some of the contrived plot beats. The progression didn't feel natural or satisfying to me. I didn't click with the characters.  I also got frustrated with the POV: it wasn't constantly omniscient, it kind of switched at random without warning, which isnt something I'm used to.

It wasn't really for me, but I think it's still a great little story. If you just want a fun and sweet gay romance, this one is lovely.
