This was hilarious and gross. Two of my favorite things in the world. Hilarious because the way I read it was more sarcastic, since I love sarcasm and find it one of the best ways to speak, and gross because it had blood and guts in it. I mean, what else could I ask for in a quick afternoon read? Nothing.

The writing was very much how a teen would write in a diary. Conversational and friendly. Spilling secrets that one wouldn't want anyone else knowing or hearing about, even if someone could easily pick up said diary and read it to their hearts content. Minor detail. Throughout this, I found myself cringing and laughing the whole way through because I was caught up in it. Like many people, I like the "found-footage" genre of horror, and I'm glad to see that it's making more of a comeback in books. Diaries and newspaper clips are a great way to tell stories, especially horror. Look at [b:Carrie|10592|Carrie|Stephen King|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1166254258s/10592.jpg|1552134]; that is really all about someone else telling you the story through articles, book excerpts, and people's memories.

Certainly an enjoyable read, although I can see how it would have to fit a very narrow group of teens in YA.
