Delightful winter read, especially closing out the holiday season.

When Ohio weather took another chilly turn, this was a great mood read. A light, chick-lit-y British charmer.

It was just too boring to focus on. I felt myself skimming up until this point, so I’m moving on.

Such a cozy setting! Made me want to run away and live in a seaside English town and open a cafe. Great secondary characters, too. And their small town book club conversations were a riot!

This was a lovely, enjoyable read about Annie Sharp who moves to a small, seaside town to be the caretaker for a historic property after leaving her cheating husband and thriving restaurant. She soon settles in making friends who she starts a rowdy book club with and opening a cafe. The problem? She can’t stop thinking about the owner’s nephew who wants to sell the place which now feels like home.

My only critique is the book felt a bit longer than it needed to be. At times I couldn’t believe I wasn’t further along in the book, but I did still enjoy it throughout.

Loved our main character. Loved the grumpy to dating plot. Sweet sweet story about starting over.
