Kenna's Dragon by Leigh Miller

The book was the perfect short, fun monster romance. Blair is a dragon shifter who believes that he found his mate years ago only to have lost her. He's cut himself off from his dragon side in favor of working for monster rights. But when Kenna walks into his staff meeting, all his instincts go haywire. She can't be his mate. Can she?

Kenna's Dragon was a good blend of a few popular romance tropes. Workplace Romance. Fated Mates. Billionaire Romance. It also expertly walked the line between fluff and angst. In short: I really, really enjoyed it. My favorite thing about it was how Blair struggled with the memory of his past great love and ultimately how Kenna accepted his hurts into their relationship.

Characters are cute (even if bull-headedness was the main plot conflict), and the story was heartwarming with a side of decent smut.

Blair is just a dick. Kenna was always going to be the second choice.

Another great book by Leigh Miller and my favorite so far! The characters were explosive together, both were so fiery that when together on the page, they were setting it on

"This is it. My first day as new-Kenny."

Not as much weird monster romance smut and liked the story of the first book better.

First and foremost - THANK YOU to the author for sharing this ARC of Kenna’s Dragon with me! This review and all opinions shared within it are my own.

Secondly - if you are riding the fence on reading paranormal romance, you need to give the Monster Relations Bureau series a try before you make your choice. Nora’s Kraken was book one, The Orc From Accounting is the novella that comes next, and we build off both of those stories to jump into this read.

For a quick reference, our story takes place in a world where paranormals have been given voices in contemporary society. It’s not unusual to work alongside an orc, or to find yourself being a fated mate to a kraken shifter! {Insert another plug to read the other books in the series lol}

Kenna, upon starting at her first day of her RealWorldJob at the Monster Relations Bureau finds herself in a strange orbit with the director of the bureau, charming older Ewan Blair. And while Blair is convinced that this living pull he feels towards Kenna is nothing (men are apparently the same even when they’re shifters lol), he finds it impossible to ignore his baser instincts and leave Kenna alone.

The passion. The sass. The internalized misplaced guilt. I want Kenna to be my bestie - she refuses to accept anything less than what she deserves and I love her (even when it comes to a super hot dragon shifter). Also? PLS GIVE ME MORE OF THE MONSTER RELATIONS BUREAU!

I don’t want to share too much but if you’re someone who loves:
• forbidden romance,
• fated mates,
• self-love journey &
• bossy women with the men who can’t stay away from them (with a glorious dose of groveling)
.. then you have GOT to read Kenna’s Dragon. Add her to your TBR and read about our curvaceously fiery bestie!
