The way this author writes female characters is hilarious, and not in a good way. But I'll give the book this: it was certainly entertaining while I read it.

I really enjoyed this story with the bomb maker and the bombs and how people went about defusing them. This is the third book by this author I have read and I have enjoyed them all, but the one thing I don't enjoy? The romantic relationships that are a main storyline in all of them. This author really cannot write good romance. I wish they would just be left out of the story as that would make it a ton better! You usually need them for the plot, but man it is hard to read. Otherwise I really enjoyed the story.

Another Audible Daily Deal disappointment. There were a lot of aspects of this one that I didn't like, including how the time jump occurred. This whole thing was just ridiculous, to be honest. And obviously written by a man.

I wanted to know more about the bomb maker. What were his motives? Why go after the LA Bomb Squad? Did his relationship with his ex-wife cause it? I felt unsatisfied, and left hanging with so many questions.

Quick Synopsis: A serial bomber has started terrorizing Los Angeles. The bombs are devious, destructive and specifically intended to harm the very teams assigned to defuse them. A seasoned bomb technician may be the only chance to track down the bomber and stop him before he completes his mission, whatever it may be...

This was insightful and interesting. Terrific research was done here about bombs. It was tense and really intriguing. I didn’t care for the end though. I was hoping some detective work would have been done to track the bomber. Instead, Stahl stumbles upon a house he thinks has the explosives and blows it up. He never meets or interrogates the bomber. He doesn’t know for sure if the bomber is even the house. It’s still entertaining.
