I’m convinced Christopher Paolini can do no wrong. He is a world builder to rival Rowling, Tolkein, and George R. R. Martin. This story is incredibly detailed and beautiful. I loved every minute of it.

One of the best sci fi books I’ve read. You can tell Paolini spent years working on it. It’s incredible!

Gregorovich is the best character and Trig was the second best. I liked most of the characters. I think the characters were the real highlight of this book. The story was cool and I liked the themes explored. But the characters are what made this book in my opinion

Phew, a weighty tome to get through! Paolini worked hard on this one, and while it doesn't always deliver and was perhaps unnecessary long, I'm glad I persevered through to the end as it was an enjoyable read overall.

This was my first of his books and it was pretty much what I expected from him. It moves along at a pretty good clip (though the ending kind of got bogged down when it shifted from action movie to respectable sci-fi movie) and was reasonably well written. It had some fun ideas but overall was like a lot of other stories all combined into this one. OVERALL it was enjoyable but nothing too original. Would recommend and I might give some of his other books a shot but who knows... life is short but also super long.
