  • C: idk, didn't really connect, but wasn't bad either
  • W: was an audio book, narration was fine:)
  • P: i'm torn on this one, even though there were plot twists i wasn't expecting, a lot was quite predictable, like that michael is not ava father. and even if it was surprising, i didn't really care...
  • I: it took me forever to finish listening to this audiobook, i usually only listened to it, when i was doing other things and not, because i really wanted to know what will happen next
  • L: not quite sure why alex lied to ava about his feelings after the kidnapping, but chances are high that that was mentioned and i just forgot...
  • E: was alright, but i'm not eager to listen to the second book...

Overall, I really liked this book. There were some things that I found predictable, but also some things that I was completely shocked by. I do think that there were too many epilogues, most of the time even having one is not needed, but this book had like 2 or 3.

I didn't quite know what to expect out of this book, but for my first read in 2024, I am impressed!

Twisted Love is a really interesting book and I read it quite quickly. The epilogue had me giggling a bit but most of the story is just incredibly odd. My main gripe is the
plot twist of Ava’s father, Michael, which felt incredibly forced for some reason?
, and another one is how forceful Alex was. I’m sure it was all consented and stuff, but the things this man was doing were quite illegal. Other than that, I slightly enjoyed this romance book! Out of my comfort zone but will try to read the others! It feels like a book that not everyone will like, but everyone needs to at least try to read it because it’s definitely an experience.

So after seing this book on my foryoupage for more then a year. I decided to buy and read it. I thought the book was okay, nothing really special about. It gave me wattpad vibes, and no hate for that. It's her first book ever written so that fine.

I do think there were a plot hole in this story. When she and her friend got kidnapped we didn't get a pov of that so I was confused about it. The singing part wasn't that gringy... . The story plot was very predictable. I would probably read the next book of this series :)

This book felt like ‘The Godfather’ written by a Wattpad author.

I liked the book enough to finish it..

I liked the steamy scenes/ spice level, and I liked the plot twists. The story was interesting enough for me to keep reading.

BUT:

The possessiveness / stalker tendencies of Alex were SO bad - like if a man ever behaved this way with me I’d be calling the police and I hate how Ana Huang romanticized his behaviour. So much of the plot was cringey and unrealistic. The writing is not going to win any awards either.

It was good I'll read the other books in the series as I enjoyed the friend group.

This was predictable but it was funny and just a good time dude.

Listen. The plot? Predictable. The characters? Mid. The vibes? Immaculate. This was so fun. I laughed out loud. I swooned. I had multiple WTF moments about her being just so OK with him being like, a murderer and being an overbearing, jealous, grade A for Asshole, douchebag. However, I'm going to read the rest of them because the banter (when things weren't going like, completely off the rails) was actually quite fun. And I did enjoy the female characters so like, I want the next one.
