I did really like this book, the banter and the dynamics between friends was amaxing, but felt like she took him back too quickly.
I adore Josh as well.

-This book was really good i put off reading it for awhile and then today i said screw it im going to just start this series and i was not disappointed at all Alex and Ava😍😍😍to die for i lovedddddd how much alex changed somewhat for the better for Ava and i loved how he never stopped trying to win her back I could just feel every emotion that came from this book it was really good j definitely give this book five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️-

 ⚠️ warning: spoilers  ⚠️

📋 So I liked Alex in the middle of the book; the beginning and the end? Not so much. Ava and Alex should NOT have gotten back together - some things are unforgivable and he became a stalker under the face of "omg! possessiveness!" it's not cute (again, I don't mind this trait but I guess it depends). 

📋 Would it have killed Alex to have flaws and not be great at absolutely everything though? Characters being bad at things is fun! I mean he was super flawed, so at least he wasn't Absolutely Perfect. 

📋 I really liked that this book had a plot and it wasn't just sex in every chapter! Like was the plot over the top? Yes, but it was fun. 

📋 I also like that we got to know more about Ava outside of her feelings for Alex. I wasn't expecting the plot twist regarding her storyline although in hindsight I probably should have. 

📋 I have heard the rest of the series is better, so I'm looking forward to it!

Este libro fue divertido, tierno y fácilde digerir, lo que "Power" quería ser pero no logró. 

Si bien el romance me gustó en su mayoría, la historia de Alex me aburrió y me pareció demasiado para la trama, al principio me gustó su forma de ser, hasta me hacía reír, pero entre más leía su historia, más annoying me empezó a parecer, eso de que era todo poderoso a sus 27 años y que tenía hasta al vicepresidente del país comiendo de su mano... me dio sueño. 

La historia de Ava me gustó como parte de la trama, como que se sentía más cómodo que estuviera ahí para dar inicio a la relación de Alex y Ava. Ava me pareció un personaje femenino bueno, si algo ingenua, casi no era como otros personajes insufribles, pero me hubiera gustado que fuera un poco mayor, aunque su forma de ser y reaccionar a ciertas situaciones, encajaba muy bien a su edad, para mí.

Seguiré con esta saga, son libros entretenidos y divertidos, para relajarse un poco si no quieres leer algo tan serio.

Odié el final, el cómo Alex acosa a Ava y la obliga a estar nuevamente con él, que la amenace porque no quiere que ningún otro hombre se acerque a ella. OK, ENTIENDO que es parte de la trama y si hay un warning al respecto, pero aún así, no puedo evitar odiar ese tipo de personajes. Me gustaría que hubiera un libro donde el personaje tóxico se resigne a perder a la mujer que ama y la deje ser feliz con alguien más, aunque al final ella lo perdone, jajaja ✨️deconstrucción✨️

I wasn't sure how I felt in the beginning but the story begins picking up the pace somewhere near the middle. Ultimately? I ended up liking this book. The beginning was moderately placed. I thought I had reached the ending wrap-up but really it was about 65% so that threw me for a loop. The remainder of the book was very quick-paced with two plot twists that took me from reading the book to enjoying the storyline and anticipating the next one.

Ik wilde deze graag lezen, omdat de hype om deze series zo groot is en iedereen er met zo veel enthousiasme over praat. Maar wat was dit voor mij een teleurstelling. 

Ik dacht oprecht dat ik deze niet zou uitlezen, maar het mysterie rond de nachtmerries en Alex zijn familie heeft het gered. 

Dat gedeelte was namelijk súper spannend en hierdoor zat ik op het puntje van mijn stoel. 

- spoilers- 

De relatie tussen Ava en Alex is niet romantisch of “sexy”, het is creepy, bezitterig en stalkerig. 

In het begin van het boek lijkt het nog een soort van logisch, waneer je uiteindelijk de ware intenties van Alex leert. 

Maaaaar dan kom het laatste deel van het boek. Waar hij haar dus oprecht leuk vindt en voor haar (zonder dat zij dat wilt) naar Londen verhuisd. Waar hij letterlijk haar elke dag bezoekt (ook al wilt ze dat niet), cadeautjes stuurt (ook dit wilt ze niet) de politie zou omkopen om haar te mogen blijven lastigvallen (want guess what, zij wilt dat niet) en potentiële nieuwe relaties dwarsboomt. Alleen omdat HIJ haar leuk vindt. 🚩🚩🚩🚩

De smut was ook too much en ik denk dat dit boek beter zou zijn als niet elke beweging die ze maken wordt verdraaid naar een spicy gedachte. 

EN DAN maken ze het goed, na een JAAAAR zeuren van deze man. En het eerste wat hij doet is zijn vingers erin douwen??????? 

Ik heb de epiloog hierna nieteens gelezen, zoek het uit.
