Okay, my ADD brain really struggled here. The pacing for the story line felt a bit all over the place and the big end of the book plot twist is my least favorite trope of all time.

But, I’m still a sucker for JLA. Seth becomes the ass hole with the goey center that even if you’ve been meh about him since the covenant series (me) you’re finally won over. Josie gets a bit dumber and spends a majority of the book being useless and anxious, which, same girl. Aiden has zero personality, which is a few steps down from his normal for this series. And Alex is also relatively bland.

Really, this book felt like it struggled between being plot filler to get all the pieces in place for the last book and yet somehow was still meaningful and mostly interesting.

I also just cannot get into smutty scenes from Seth’s perspective. Dude, you finally got me on your side but I just cannot get there for those.

I’m excited to see how the series wraps up, and whole covenant is definitely a re-read type series I think the titan series will overall be one and done for me.

Don’t get me wrong, they’re good enough and I’m enjoying myself. But there not my faves or top notch by any means.

Definitely read it if you want to carry on with the story and liked the last few, but it’s not going to be a world changing read.

So, solid three stars but could have been better comparatively to covenant, other JLA works, etc.

Loved reading this book again! I'd forgotten some of the details, but not all! Like that she was held captured by the Titans. And that Seth had become a god. And that ending! Can't wait to finish this series!

Oh, wow, this book was freaking fantastic! And wow, do these two have a lot to go through in this book, but things aren't over yet!

The first two books were masterpieces for me, really. In this one I found not so much joy as in the previous ones. It was not bad, really not, just not as captivating and as interesting. But because I invested so much from me in these books and these characters, I HAD TO KNOW, so I was reading fast, but I did not enjoy it as much as I did the other ones.

So the title ... struggle . Yeah I made that pun.

I like how Josie and Seth and their relationship have developed, it’s really nice and cute, and they still have a lot of passion, which is nice.
I just don’t understand why it has to be like that with Josie you know - I’m trying not to spoil, really. But it’s such a cliche it’s killing the story for me...
Will it be better in the next book? I really hope so because I can’t put it down but somehow I really want to.

the amount of books I read drastically decreased in 2017 and in 2018 it was even lower I think the reason was because I was in a slump and then I decided to try watching a kdrama and then that was all I wanted to do. I want to try reading more again and I felt I should finish series I remember enjoying but that I completely forgot to keep up with and the Titan series is one of them. Jennifer L. Armentrout has been an auto buy author of mine since I read the lux series I have always enjoyed her books from her YA to NA I reread the first two and I just couldn't get over how Seth was so possessive and horny all of the time! He can't think about Josie without thinking about being in her pants (at one point he calls himself a walking hard on...yeah, he knew what a horndog he was).

There are certain books you go into knowing you'll get the possessive Male lead with a never ending sex drive and you enjoy it because sometimes you're just in the mood for a quick trashy romance book, but extreme possessiveness will always be something I dislike. In The Power Seth didn't even want a guy speaking to her from a distance. He didn't let her make a new friend because he was a guy.

Thankfully this book was a bit toned down in that regard but only because she was no longer around strange guys.

I think I forgot these books were like this because I know I enjoyed them in the past when I first read them but now Seth's horny pov really annoyed me and Josie is someone I just couldn't really like, and YET I still wanted to read and find out how it ended. I know I'll still read books like this because they can be addictive and fun but at this time I just needed something amazing to get me excited to read again.
