Kaliya and Danny be still my heart! I love a good second chance romance and this one was done so well. It also highlights the inequity found in the workforce for Black women specifically. It was raw and real and dealt with so many topics, and did it WELL. The only thing I would have liked is a dual POV, but that's just a personal preference.

Listened to the audiobook narrated by DeWanda Wise! (highly recommend) This love story begs to be on the screen the writing is so incredibly visual. The dialogue is very millennial but not in a cringy way, in a very authentic way. Wish it was spicier not just romantically but I believe these characters are exactly who they should be!

This was my 2nd read from Myah Ariel and by far, my favorite out of the two.
This is the ideal read for someone looking for a cutesy little 2nd chance romance with minimal spice.
The FMC/MMCs college love story is one Iâve read before. There is strong familiarity with the authors reading style.
Throughout the book it reminded me faintly of âReelâ by Kennedy Ryan. The way a few of the character arcs were developed.
Overall, it was just okay. I wasnât really moved by the story. I may have enjoyed it better as an audiobook.
This was a read that I found myself constantly putting down after a few chapters at a time. I wouldnât reread.
