I really liked this one early on, but ultimately the pacing felt off and it was hard to root for the couple to get back together when we’d barely seen them together in the first place. I wonder if this would’ve been better as dual POV. But Bella should get her own book, she was an amazing side character!

Kaliyah and Danny have a shot at a second chance romance years after meeting in college. When Danny offers Kaliyah a chance to work on the movie he wrote and is now directing. Trouble ensues and Myah Ariel does not disappoint with the drama, the cute romance, and the strong female empowerment.
I loved this book until about the last 80% when the MCs couldn't get together for like no reason at all other than to be apart. For her to "find herself". That's where it lost it for me. I also really wish his mom came back in at the movie premiere near the end because she was one of my favorite characters! And lastly I would've loved if the name of the book was the same as the title of his movie rather than some romcommy meh line, but potatoes, potAtoes.

A stunning debut. Absolutely adored Danny and Kaliya’s love story. The audiobook narration was top notch!
I would have loved to witness a couple of more physical intimacy moments between these two. Felt like the spark was trying to light for so long and then once it caught fire, it sizzled out completely.
