This was surprisingly so good?? A cute and wholesome You've Got Mail retelling that I couldn't put down. I just wished we heard more from Sebastian's backstory and his side of things.

I randomly picked this book up in the library, not knowing anything about it. Boy, was I not disappointed!! As someone who loved the movie You’ve Got Mail, this was such an enjoyable modern take!

Now that I'm reading again, I obviously had to pick up at least one Lauren Layne book. Some other time this would have disappointed me, but I read this at the perfect point in my life. I got into this book thinking it was a full-blown romance (yes, I expected and wanted smut), but it read more like a chick lit and I wasn't mad about that at all.
The realizations Gracie had are some of the things I have been working through, and I identified with her so much. I do wish this was longer and that there were more interactions or at least more friction between Gracie and Sebastian. They slid into a friendly stage pretty early on. Not to say that it felt forced, though. Just a bit early for my liking. Would have wanted more sexual tension, too. And here we go again with LL's abrupt ending right after the confession. I need more gooey shit after her MCs become couples, I beg.
