This was the prequel to the series and I thought I would gain an understanding of Wicked and how they came to be. You learn a little about who they are, but the story mostly follows one character and his journey since the sun flares. Only in the epilogue do we learn that Thomas was given over to what we can assume to be WICKED. We can assume that the character of Deedee was Teresa and she was sent to WICKED in the final chapter of the novel, but it is not made fully clear.

I don’t feel like I gained the answers I wanted. The story was a good story and did provide some of the explanation needed about the flare and the virus. However, it didn’t truly explain the whole back story of WICKED and how Thomas and Teresa created the maze and helped.

This prequel to The Maze Runner series has a very different feel and comes across as far more simplistic, both in vocabulary and character action. I wouldn't guess that it's written by the same author if I didn't know better.

No se como sentirme al respecto, no es que no me gusto pero tampoco me gusto, le encuentro cosas buenas pero muchas otras no. Creo que muchas preguntas quedaron inconclusas y a pesar que me respondieron una siento que podría ser otra historia la cual me respondiera mas, me gusto todo el tema religioso ya que en medio de una pandemia yo también me encuentro con gente diciéndome que esto es un castigo de Dios. Otra cosa es que empatice un poco con el personaje de Teresa (DeeDee) pero el final quedo muy abierto NECESITO SABER QUE PASA CON LOS PROTAGONISTAS (lo mas seguro esq mueran por la enfermedad pero quiero saber!!!!)
