I liked the main books in this series and so I decided to pick up this novella. This book follows the parents of one of the guys in the third book. This book was alright but not my favorite.

This was a great novella
I'll be honest I cannot remember a single thing about the OG series apart from I had a great time reading them and this was the exact same - I had a great time
I love love love a book with sneaking around / secret relationship and this was so good!
I loved how much Archie was thriving being with Dash and the 3rd act conflict hurt a little but I'm so glad that it all worked out
- college romance
- MM romance - both gay (one closeted)

You know when a series is so good you don’t want it to end, so you put off reading the last one? This was it.
I loved this entire series, and this one didn’t disappoint either. It was sooo short, but still so satisfying.
My emotions were all over the place—laughing, giggling, ugly crying. I just wish it had been longer, because I know I would’ve eaten it up.
Archie was everything. Possessive and jealous, but also such a sweetheart. I loved how he shut Dash down anytime he talked badly about himself, constantly reminding him how lucky he was to have him. He was really open about how he felt about Dash, but kinda closed off when it came to himself. Like he was emotionally stuck between being in and out of the closet.

“… You’re the kind of guy I’ll hunt down in the phonebook in twenty years’ time and call just to hear him breathe. Probably find out where you work so I can walk by, hoping to catch a glimpse of you. I’ll dream about you and daydream about you and regret, every day for the rest of my life, that I didn’t at least try. I love you, Dash. I wasn’t lying about that. And I realized I can live and be happy if my father walks away from me. I can’t live and be happy without you.”
I sobbed.
At first, I forgot their story takes place years before the other books, so I was confused why Archie was so sure nothing with Dash could ever happen. But then it hit me—they couldn’t even get married back then. And that made it all hurt even more. Because for so many people, that was their reality not that long ago. I cried even harder after that. And this book was only 140 pages haha
Dash was amazing too. Playful, flirty, a little cocky. He loved pushing Archie’s buttons and pulling out that jealous, possessive side. He really tried to guard his heart through it all since there was a deadline on their relationship… but he was doing a terrible job of it. Thankfully.
His eyes are soft as he leans down and drags a slow kiss over my lips. “I wish I could keep you,” he whispers. I wish I could keep him too.
His lips skim my ear. “Even when this is over, you’ll forever be the greatest part of me.”
Also, I loved that Charlie was in this book. Seeing how he first met Zeke was so cute. Now I totally get why Charlie is the way he is, and who he got it from🫶
I’m sad it’s over. This series became such a comfort for me, and it’s definitely my favorite by Saxon James.

I remember discovering Saxon with her first series. I’ve watched her grow as an author since, and it’s books like this one that highlight just how much talent she has.
I have listened to the Frat Wars series on audiobook countless times. It’s one of my go-to comfort listens. Getting the opportunity to learn about Charles’ dads was a no-brainer when it came to whether I would read it. And it did NOT disappoint.
The way the story flowed made it so easy to get lost. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Archie and Dash grow. While shorter than the rest of the series, this book was not lacking development, depth, emotion, and the ability to captivate me from start to finish. It took me on a journey through several emotions and I know it will you, too. Definitely recommend it.
