I loved this addition to the series. It takes us back in time to how Charles’ fathers Dash and Archie met and fell hard for each during their time at college. It’s filled with laughs, but also with a bit of angst and emotion. Archie’s family has generational expectations for him, coming from wealth and expecting him to marry a girl and have babies and continue the family legacy. He’s been hiding who he is to protect himself and them from the disappointment and fallout of his sexual identity. Dash’s strip show changes everything for our Kappa King. Dash is a scholarship students and wants to study and make something of himself with his degree, but he also wants to have his big gay adventure in school, hooking up and partying and experiencing all that life has to offer during this brief time while he can. He has a mutual attraction for Archie though. What starts as a hookup develops into a situation, and before they both know it, real feelings are involved. With Archie’s family’s expectations looming, these two will have to find a way to defy that legacy if they’re to find a HEA together.

Oh these two were a lot of fun! I enjoyed this trip to the past and can only admire Archibald for having the strength to follow through on the things he ultimately wanted. Dash was funny, sexy and absolutely the right person for Archie and I loved their banter, the way they treated each other and more than anything, the understanding they displayed towards each other.
This was very romantic, funny and a joy to read!
