Holy crap, that was fantastic. I often find myself disappointed by the so-called "strong female heroines" in YA books.... but that was definitely NOT the case here! Finally, a strong female heroine who ISN'T clumsy and awkward and never loses her purpose or strength throughout the book. There's some romance without taking away from the plot and it's just phenomenal. Felt like Hunger Games meets Percy Jackson, so exciting and familiar without being cliche. Read this, you won't be disappointed.

Lots of Twists and Turns. Loved it!

The characters are palpable with real likes, dislikes, and moral compasses. The conflict and stakes are high and the pacing was fast enough to make it a page turner without moving too quickly. I'm hoping to see more of Jiro and Yessi in hopefully a future installment.

Wow, just wow! From start to finish, Yessina and Jiro were such amazing characters! The plot was action packed, well paced, and I was enraptured the whole time, wondering what would happen next! The side characters were amazing as well, and they added in vital information that kept the book going.
