I don't love romance novels and I dont usually write reviews, but I got this as an Amazon first pick and I couldn't put it down.

Cute story, albeit completely unrealistic. It's set in a small town that manages to have a canyon, lush valley, a lake, rapids for rafting and for which the biggest selling point is that they are über discreet about their many visiting celebrities. Umm, okay. There is a ruling family and a rival ruling family. Adult members of the ruling family are expected to pull their weight in the various family businesses and at all times "act like an Anderson". That aspect of the story got a little grating at times. However, for the most part the supporting family and friends were charming rather than annoying. The FBI storyline was also unrealistic but hey, artistic license has to count for something. I was in the mood for some escapist reading and this was nice enough. Quick and sweet with a guaranteed HEA

This book was so adorable, funny, emotional, and sweet. I laughed often and loud as Meg and Josh worked their relationship issues out in a town full of crazy characters. A great, fun read.

Kindle First choice. Clicked on the wrong title but read it anyway. Not really my cup of tea but it whiled away a couple of rainy hours!

Finally, a Kindle First book that I didn't quit ten pages into because it felt too literary for my tastes! This is far from literary, and is in fact a typical chick-lit/romance mixture. But Baumann nails every element of the genre --- the beloved but problematic family, the single mother, the pros and cons of small town life. Nothing is particularly memorable or thought-provoking, but it carried me through a happy hours without remembering that my throat hurt so bad I could hardly swallow.

pretty average romance, found the use of real famous people rather annoying and the characters were a little flat but it was readable.
