This book never quite gets to the point of satisfying. It seems like a very superficial overview rather than a fully flushed out story.

One thing that I loved about this book was that it was a military romance, but it involved a wife at home and not a new girlfriend. This book seemed very real, in the sense that it brought to light the struggles that both people deal with when a military member comes home after a long deployment. I really could and did fall in love with the characters.

I also loved the twists that this book took towards the end. I'll definitely be continuing with the series.

Navy SEAL Brody Battles and his wife Devyn married young and had twin daughters. When the girls were 2 weeks old, Brody shipped out for a 2 year "no contact" mission. Now he's back and he must learn to be a husband again and a father to a couple 2 year old twins. If things weren't hard enough, both Brody and Devyn are kidnapped by the family of the vicious crime lord SEAL team thirteen was after for two years.

This was an amazing story! It ran like a movie through my mind, full of action, betrayal, camaraderie, and the re-discovery of love. I love a good military romance and this book is sure to be the first of many about these funny, sexy Navy SEALS of team thirteen. I definitely look forward to reading more from this very talented author.
