At this point I'm trying not to compare it to the original anymore, but it's hard, particularly when this book keeps trying to make stylistic allusions and parallels. Whether it's the end-of-chapter quote or the text materials at the end or the meta-fictional narrative being woven in the background, this book keeps grasping at straws trying to recreate some semblance of the original style or feel, and it's just so bad at it.

As with before, this remains a largely surface-level narrative, bopping from one talking head to the next, and without any of the subtlety or human context to it. Every attempt a subtley spinning off future plots or foreshadowing feels like it comes with a massive billboard on it, while each issue ends with the writer seemingly thinking the atory had gone anywhere.

Mime and Marionette continue to be the highlight of this series. I liked this issue, and I heard it's now bimonthly? Well, take your time, Johns, as long as its good, I wouldn't mind waiting.

4/5 Stars (%74/100)

The pacing got a bit slower compared to the last issue. However, it is still very interesting. The scenes with Mime were great. A character that we all know and love from Watchmen comes back which is a big and nice surprise. I liked it overall.

The Comedian is alive! And he is looking for revenge, as Rorschach meets with Batman at the Batcave, he's still looking for John, our two new characters get into Gotham and explore it, story's looking good and keeping it classy.

hOLY cRAP I'm in love with these comics

SpoilerBatman you little shit! I know he stole your breakfast but you didn't have to lock Rorschach 2.0 up in Larckhill! That was cruel man!

At this point I don't even have a decent review for this issue, I just need the next issue NOW.

OMG I NEED TO KNOW MORE about my babies.
