I really enjoyed the premise of this series but felt this was a lack luster finish. The story was good but it all felt quite rushed. Especially in the final showdown I felt that there was a lot of mental catch up to get to the same point as Morgan (or maybe I missed things, who knows) and the final standoff/battle was a bit of a let down.
And poor Medra. She feels like she was created by her mother to fulfil a prophecy and it's true. I felt like this character was just introduced to be a tool at the end. There was no real character development. I didn't feel like I knew her and the rapid aging just felt weird and forced. Like the author go to the end of book 3 and didn't know how she was going to have Perun defeated with Morgan getting a happy ending so she just created Medra to wrap everything in a bow.

Overall this was a really enjoyable series.

Firstly thank you to the author and her team for sending me arcs of this series. It’s been such a pleasure to read Morgan and Kairos’s story 💖

With that said - wow. What a spectacular way to wrap up the series. This book gave me all of the feels. I absolutely loved that book one started off with a quest to find an object and in this book Morgan and Kairos are on a quest to find themselves (literally). This author and this book specifically writes about some very hard topics like grief and mental illness extremely well.

I will forever refer to this series as ACTOR but more adult and spicier.

Favorite quotes:

Morgan - “I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I’ll still be standing beside you. You and I? We’re eternal.”

Kairos - “Families aren’t meant to be perfect, Morgan. Anyone who ever claims to have a perfect family is lying. Have you seen mortal families? They squabble and hit and lie and...”

Morgan - “Love, the one force in the universe that no one could ever fully explain. Love, the candle in the dark that led us through the night and softened all our sorrows. Without love, life was a starved and empty thing, for there was no hope, no joy without it.”

This series is an amazing rollercoaster ride and I wasn't ready for it to end. It consumed my thoughts the entire time I was reading and I will definitely go back to these characters to revisit their story all over again. Draven becoming soft for little Medra made me love him even more. I made up so many theories in my mind while reading but none of them proved to be right.
That little glimpse of on wings of blood was enough to intrigue me and left me wanting more. Excited for more work from the author.

Thank you to the author, publisher and netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

“I see forever with you by my side. Because long after these scars have faded away to nothing, I'll still be standing beside you. You and I? We're eternal.”

This was such a fantastic finish to the series!

Morgan, Draven, and their counterparts embark on a journey where they must face the evil that has been threatening all of their kingdoms and destroy three legendary objects of great power...

I honestly didn't know where the story was going to go from one chapter to the next - it kept me on my toes the entire way through!

Full of many surprises, like throughout the others in the series, this was a thrilling final adventure with Morgan and Draven, and I have loved every last bit!

A huge thank you to NetGalley for allowing me access to this amazing series!

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the advance copy to read.

The final instalment in this wonderful fantasy series was everything I needed and more.

I've really loved following Morgan and Draven as they've grown along this series. Looking back to book one Morgans character development arc has been phenomenal. She has come a long way from the first time we met her character.

The bond between Morgan and Draven is just chefs kiss! The perfect amount of romance, steaminess and trusting in each other. They are possibly one of my favourite book couples to date.

This book really takes everything from you and leaves you bereft with your jaw on the floor. So many answers and so much resolution.

The series is great for any SJM fans. I would go as far to say as it's on par with ACOTAR.
