Verity and Sidney continue to deliver in the seventh book of the series.  
Anna Lee Huber has clearly done her research and the powder keg that was post WWI Ireland is well developed. 
While I would suggest you start from book one, the author did a good job of bringing back the salient points from the previous bills that if you are staying from here you should be ok.
