Such a heartbreaking read - and even more so, now that I read it as an adult. This book handles some really, seriously heavy topics (like the pain of war, the injustice of murder, and the heartbreak of losing people close to you). An amazing read that made me both laugh and tear up at different times. Highly recommend!

Moderate: Torture and Kidnapping

Suzanne Collins you're paying for my therapy <3
All seriousness, this book is the weakest in the series, but still stronger than most books I've read. It spends a lot of time setting up the final installment in the series, so it felt like some of the events of book 4 were rushed a bit to properly set up book five. This book definitely dives into more mature themes, and the rest of the series had been pretty deep already, but I think this series is still very appropriate for kids. The writing is beautiful as always, and the all characters live in my head rent-free.
