Beautiful, stunning photos make this book stand out. The simple text would be good for storytime.

Pretty disappointing.
Basically: bugs on leaves paired with a large-font rhyming poem that I could probably write in eight minutes.

I love [a:Helen Frost|49193|Helen Frost|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1248153328p2/49193.jpg]'s writing, so when I heard she had a new book I knew I had to read it. I've also heard a lot of buzz surrounding this book for the 2013 Caldecott. I think her poetry is better utilized in longer books where the form can really take shape. However, this was a fun picture book with fabulous photographs by [a:Rick Lieder] and was overall enjoyable.

After reading Nasty Bugs by Lee Bennett Hopkins (a collection of insect poetry), this one is like it's complete opposite. A picture book in verse with real photos of insects (and a spider or two) in nature. Beautifully done.
