It’s believable and genuinely shocking and some of the people are really nasty.... but I don’t like it.... it’s really well written. I just hate all the characters even the ones I think you should like... she really doesn’t deserve the happy ever after stuff as well I just don’t believe she has any empathy if you have a narcissistic personality you don’t suddenly stop and get emotional and go apologise to others. Sorry but no she really spoilt it for me.

All These Beautiful Strangers by Elizabeth Klehfoth is one part Cruel Intentions and one part Pretty Little Liars with just a pinch of Gossip Girl.

It's a contemporary YA mystery that is told primarily from the perspective of Charlie Calloway as she tries to join the As, a secret society based at her elite New England boarding school.

Charlie is also trying to find out what happened to her mother ten years before; did she leave her husband and children, or was she murdered?

I find that a lot of books described as YA thrillers tend to be quite on the cheesy side but All These Beautiful Strangers is fantastically written and incredibly enjoyable. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a quick summer read!

3.5⭐️ Charlie Calloway is the wealthy daughter of Allistair Calloway, a highly regarded real estate mogul in NYC. When Charlie was 7 years old her mother, Grace, left abruptly and never returned. Charlie is now attending the prestigious Knollwood Prep where a secret society, “the A’s,” have tagged her to become an initiate into this elite group. The A’s initiation process is grueling, embarrassing, and they will stop at nothing if you don’t complete your task. As if that wasn’t enough, secrets of the past are coming to light and causing Charlie to wonder if her mom really did run off, or if something much worse is at play. review: This is a slow-building book is perfect for anyone that liked Gossip Girl or Pretty Little Liars. As the story unfolds, you’re left questioning what actually happened to Grace, Charlie’s mother, and if everything is actually as it seems… or if secrets are still lurking in the background. This wasn’t as fast paced as I thought it would be, but still enjoyed it nonetheless. The last quarter of the book was incredible and the ending was such a good one! rating: 3.5 out of 5 ⭐️

3.5 ⭐️s for me

It was thrilling... but also not particularly amazing. I think it dragged on a bit longer than it needed to and the end felt very rushed. The characters were kinda wish-washy and a bit dull so I wasn't compelled t0 for anyone. The mystery was pretty good though and I don't regret any time spent on it!

When I start to zone out on the audiobook, I know it's time to put the book down. I think not knowing this was YA versus an adult mystery, really threw me off, so maybe I'll pick it up again in the future if my interest is piqued again.

This book was an enjoyable teenage mystery, heavy on the corny lines and twists. I had it figured out early on, but kept reading to see how the story spun. Gossip Girl meets Pretty Little Liars. There are a few things that bothered me about the plot, but - I hate posting spoilers so I won't go into it!
