The characters were unlikeable. The plot I did mostly enjoy and I had a good time reading it.

they were just all such self centered uncaring sociopaths. The main character was rude to people so often including Grayson but they end up together and she's supposedly changed... Maybe. Her dad and mum's relationship geeeeez that was bad. Not sure how we are meant to understand how that worked. I guessed Margot did it when they met in her dad's office.

Surprisingly good thriller. The end was nonsurprised — it was loudly forewarned early in the book. But it was an interesting read to get there.

Actual Rating: 4.25/5

The boarding school setting. The mystery. The flashbacks. The characters. I really, really enjoyed this.

Taking off 3/4 of a star because of two reasons: 1. I did guess the ending -- but not too early on in the book to be bored or for it to ruin it for me. 2. There's one, very brief part of the book where it feels like the author does the whole "not like other girls" thing, which always bothers me.

This book was pretty boring. And irritating. Honestly, there wasn't one character I could relate to, or even like. Everyone was pretty despicable, and the main teen, Charlie, was an obnoxious spoiled rich girl. She redeems herself eventually, but I didn't like her AT ALL until like the last 2 pages. Everyone else was pretty forgettable. Meh.

It grabbed my attention and I couldn’t put it down! I would have given it 5 stars but it tied up a little too neatly for my liking.

I don't know why this wasn't labeled as YA. The only reason I finished it was because I love Xe Sands. Honestly, I'm suprised she even narrated it. It's so bad it's not even worth my time to go over all the reasons I hate it

In the audio book, Grace’s reader is hard to hear and affectatious. Affectatious is not a word, but it should be. Charlie’s character is interesting, but ultimately hard to sympathize with. I finished because I wanted to know the answer to the mystery, but then felt empty.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did!!! It was so mysterious and I loved how everyone ended up being linked together

There weren’t any plot twists I would say but I was gagged when Daltons mom was Margot 😮😮😮 and Alistar was a complete dick I despised him with a passion 🤢 and the fact he got away with the sexual assault to Grace BYE ✋

and cannot get over how willing Charlie and Leo were to make out LMAOOO that was weird and skipped over
