I really really did not enjoy this book and do not understand the high rating on good reads. Maybe is is just beyond my sophistication or lack there of.

I learned I probably don't really like stream of consciousness. I really didn't like parts of this book, but as soon as I would be about to write it off/say I just didn't like the whole thing, there would be the most beautiful or poignant passages.
In many parts of the pros I felt like I was reading poetry. I actually do like poetry, so I'll look for some of the author's poetry. I love how she talks about language and writing.
I also felt like when I was reading it, I should be marking up a copy of my own instead of trying to carefully not bend library pages, so I may reread despite the parts I didn't like.
