An interesting world and character perspectives, but not one of my favorite thrillers. It felt like a few storylines could have been trimmed down, but enjoyed the main character and detective Zailer.

Ugh, I can't take another second of reading about the two main detectives in this series. They are both just pathetic. I really, really enjoyed the first 3 books in this series and was really excited to read this one but the characters of Charlie and Simon have become unbearable. Their relationship doesn't even make sense. I'm so disappointed. I think the author is talented at creating a great thriller but I just can't read them anymore. Read about 50% and then DNF.

Perfectly plotted and twisty in a way that many of the trendy new novels work for but never quite achieve, this will go in my five star mysteries category. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, so I'm rating it on a stand-alone basis. This book was pure enjoyment for a lover of good mysteries!

Really enjoy this author. Her characters are interesting, and I found this mystery especially intriguing.
