This was definitely my least favorite of the series so far. I loved Alexis and Noah together but Noah on his own was so annoying which made me enjoy the book less. I don't know what it was but this one was missing something that the other two had.

Finally, a romance novel with a good-hearted, likable heroine who is also a sexual assault survivor. Alexis is a breath of fresh air compared to the annoying heroines of the previous books. In fact, my only issue with the series so far has been the protagonists' tendency to act like obnoxious brats and treat their lovely heroes unfairly. Thankfully, Alexis breaks this pattern.
The book also features an entertaining cast of characters, including a vengeful, man-eating cat named Beefcake, who terrorizes poor Noah and Russian. The friends-to-lovers theme between Noah and Alexis is heartwarming and believable, and their handling of their family issues and their journey toward forgiveness is well-written and engaging.
What sets this book apart, however, is the comedic relief provided by the boys who are choreographing a special dance for Mack and Liv's wedding. The scene with the Russian wearing a robe three sizes too small and wrapping a towel around his head, claiming to smell like flowers, had me laughing out loud for a solid ten minutes. In fact, Russian's character steals the show throughout the book, and I can't wait to read his spinoff.
