this one was probably my least favorite out of all of them. It just felt really badly thrown together, there were many different plots going on and I felt like the romance honestly didn’t have as much depth as it should have. Also I thought the whole point of these books were to center around the bromance book club but the club had like two scenes?? Also the book the mmc was reading was mention like twice, I don’t know it just felt very messy overall and I honestly didn’t have a great time reading this one like I did with the previous books in this series.

4.65. Man this one was hella cute! Hands down my favorite part of these books are the mini books within. It’s so unique! Also Noah’s nerdiness

I think this might be my favorite in the series so far. I really loved the friends-to-lovers relationship between Alexis and Noah. I liked the introduction of some new characters as well as us getting to know some other characters from previous books even better. I don't think the series is perfect and I feel like the author definitely wants us to praise these men for basically doing to bare minimum. But the romances are sweet and this one was genuinely funny. I laughed out loud several times while reading, which basically never happens. I'm excited that there's going to be a 4th book and I'll definitely be checking it out as soon as it's available.

I really like what the author is trying to do with this series, even though to me the bromance bookclub how she describes it is pure fantasy.

What I find really interesting are the issues that the people in the books confront and discuss. Those seem very relevant and well put to me, thoughtful and inspiring.

In this particular book the romance stood in the shadow of old family history - on both sides. And since I am deeply interested in family, what it means and what it does to us, I was ok with it.

Both the hero and the heroine seem like well adjusted and mature people at the beginning of the story, and I was intrigued how their taking a chance on their relationship - and some other stuff happening at the same time - made all that unravel. And I had to agree with the take that we sometimes do things that we think we do for one reason, but in truth we do because of something else entirely. It can get very uncomfortable when you start being honest with yourself.

The book does not stay on the surface of things, but dares to go deeper.

Some of the family stuff made me cry, and I was glad that there were some funny moments mixed in.

Very good audio narration.

I love the tropes the author selects for each of the Bromance Book Club members, and appreciated the few selections of the book club's selection and how it related to the larger plot. We are very lucky to be getting two Bromance Book Club books in this trash fire of 2020! Now I have to wait for the next one!!

I received a copy of this book as an early review copy from NetGalley and Berkley. All opinions are my own.

It was really good. Maybe my favorite? I don't know.

idk if it's just the mood I've been in lately but this book made me sob like a baby in multiple occasions and that's all I need to know in order to give it 5 stars

These are starting to feel really formulaic and I know that's the point but the fact that everyone (minus Gavin in the 1st book??) has daddy issues really irks me. Like ah, yes we are at the 3rd act break up let me realize my unresolved baggage is related to my father!! But it gets super old when all of the books follow the same narrative.

the amount of emotional labor ive put into reading this book.......

Nota: 3.5
