Plot was foreseeable and perspectives weren’t varied. Such a slow pace book into a quick ending. Excessive use of trauma for no reason.

Very well done and enthralling, but I had some trouble reading this book. Warning for those who have been through abusive relationships and/or been subjected to gaslight games. None of these characters are likeable except maybe Enzo... But it works.

Book Club has started strong this year! It is incredibly fast-paced, with short chapters that keep you powering through it. I love a mystery that makes you desperate to know more and understand, and this sucks you in from the very first chapter. That "I need to know" feeling propels you through this story. The twists that they advertise on the cover do not disappoint, and I was absolutely shocked. The last 40% of the book keeps you on your toes. Be prepared to read this in one sitting!

Can I say I'm disappointed when I did not except a thing?

I liked the ending, however
I'm tired of reading thrillers that end up being about horny women bedding someone's husband.
The build-up wasn't great and the twists didn't work because there was barely any clues to begin with. Lack of information does not make a twist great. Poorly done.

A captivating tale about how people react when they are caught between a rock and a hard place. The story is set in a wealthy Long Island neighborhood where not everything is as it seems. I usually don't read thrillers because I'm a scaredy cat but this was worth the fear of turning off the lights at night
