There were real nuggets of genius in there but I found myself thinking “what is this mf YAPPING about” so often… that could be a me thing. It was eerily prescient to our current state of terror.

Rambling mixture of divorced writers, moonies and terrorists the point of which I didnt get. A sharp sentence every 5 pages and a brilliant one every 30 or so on average does not compensate for 240 pages of pretentious navel-gazing. I always thought Do deLillo is overrated

This book has a few different themes and I don’t think I fully comprehended all of what it was saying. I think that is more on me than the author though.
