After two episodes of seriously egregious codswallop, finally the meat of this thing kicks in at the end. But it is too little too late. It is interesting to see Kalendorf's machinations, which they've been forshadowing since the beginning of this series, starting to snap into place, but it is difficult to really trust the cunning plan of someone who so easily fell for the Jupiter gambit.
Again, large battle scenes just do not work on audio. Nick Briggs was wise enough to avoid them mostly in Dalek Empire I, or at least have a good reason to have someone describing them. I have no idea what happened here.
The love story, so compelling in DE:I, really falls apart here when Alby and Suz actually end up together. Remember Alby who, in the first series was a cool, cyniocal, space spy? Sigh.
