I was intrigued from the get go as to where this one was heading! But ultimately it ended up leaving me frustrated - the plot just got a bit too far fetched and the majority of the characters were so unlikable. Then the ending leaves us hanging - such an anticlimax. 2.5 stars

Zara longs for marriage, a house, kids, the idealistic dream. Her background was not like this at all, her father left and her mother is unconventional to say the least. Zara is friends with Ivy they met at University and it appears that Zara has been a huge support to Ivy. Zara has an on off relationship with Luke who she loves but knows he will never give her the dream she wants.

Then at a wedding she meets Henry, he is older and successful but she is drawn to him and he is besotted with her, things move quickly and soon Zara is closer to her dream than she thought possible, but things start to go wrong when Ivy and Henry do not get on and Zara is caught in the middle.

I found the characters in this book really interesting and although I did not particularly like any of them, I definitely wanted to find out more about them. I really liked the setting in Bath, as it’s a city that I know it well and the book hooks you in to the lives of Zara and Ivy. Ivy gave me poor little rich girl vibes, and I really did not like Henry. The book keeps you guessing who is telling the truth and who is not right until the climax. Dark and full of secrets, an entertaining thriller with plenty of tension and uncertainty.

Ending is terrible

So many questions! Zara has a lot going on in her life between her best friend and her boyfriend. I like a strong female character and Zara was not this. The plot was interesting and the characters are beautifully written. You love some and hate others but you are supposed to. I would have liked Zara to be a stronger character.
