this was bad plain and simple. only getting 2 stars because it was an interesting ending

I wasn’t super invested in finishing this off, so I just stopped. I could probably just read a summary and be just as satisfied with it.

Spoilers are included. This was my least favorite of the
Three books . I found the main character of Zara to be overly naïve. I understand that she grew up, not feeling loved or wanted, and thus was really excited when she met Henry. However, there were so many red flags flying around That it just seemed super unrealistic that any person would stay with a man like that.

I also really didn’t like Ivy, especially the way that the voice actor did her voice. It just sounded so posh that it made Ivy seem like somebody that people wouldn’t like. I think that it was crazy that Zara considered accusing Ivy of murdering Henry and the cousin. They are supposed to be best friends and Henry was a psychopath. If Ivy hadn’t killed him, they both would’ve been killed. I did enjoy the underlying themes of queerness in the book. I was kind of bummed out to discover that Ivy and Luke had been messing around and her real love was for Luke. It would’ve been a much more interesting plot twist for Ivy and Zara to end up together romantically.

I’ve noticed a theme in all three
books where the parents are unsupportive assholes. Also, once again in this book the author use the term watermelon to describe a dead body exploding. I don’t like that. Each book should stand on its own.

So much fun with unreliable narrators.

4/5 stars: this book had SO many twists, I could barely keep up. Some were more believable than others, but all were good enough.
