This book was fantastic, it is written almost in the form of long form journalism and was very informative and eye opening. Especially for someone with endometriosis or women's health issues. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in learning more about the history or women's health and the history of it in medicine.

This is a very important topic and a good book, and there are many people I would recommend it to. I was particularly fascinated by the statistics and studies it discusses (as anyone who’s spoken to me about any tangentially related topic in the last few weeks has found out), and its discussion of how medical education can and should change.

I always have trouble objectively rating medical books written for non-medical audiences - there are inevitably frustrations with the way some concepts are communicated, and I often feel a bit like I’m reading a textbook. This book had some of these features, and conversely there were some structural and written elements that I felt may be prohibitive to those with low health literacy.

It's incredibly interesting and apalling at the same time to read this book. I felt quite validated at points while also being outraged that this is even a situation so many people can relate to.
Specially the first 3 or so chapters I would recommend EVERYONE reads. However in the end it got a little bit repetitive and after the sixth chapter or so I felt like I was learning nothing new other than how much money this or that health organisation had devoted to treatment or research.
Overall a solid read and an important one for many people
