Speaking from the perspective of a person whose favorite trope is childhood friends to lovers (or friends to lovers in general)โฆ the events that transpired early on between Chase and Arianna made my romantic heart hurt. I thought this was going one way and boy did that switch up on me quick!
But almost as soon as Noah came into the picture, I was already hoping he was there to stay. ๐ฅน

Of course this book was full of sharp turns and I never could quite figure out what was going to happen, only hope. It was a rollercoaster of a story but I didnโt get nearly as frustrated with the twists as I expected.

Noah first, because he is number freaking one. Period. He is thoughtful and selfless to a degree I donโt even think most humans are actually capable of. He is truly the kind of man you only read about in books.

Arianna went through so much and my heart broke for her. She lost her first love right after feeling like she finally had him, then she had to give up the love of her life only to lose him a second time after going through a traumatic near death experienceโฆ Iโd say she earned every piece of happiness that was given to her at the end. This poor sweet girl deserves the world and Noah is absolutely going to give it to her.

I got a little bit of whiplash and a whole lot of anxiousโฆ but this book was so powerful. I can appreciate that life almost never goes to plan and humans are very flawed. So while my heart shattered for Noah because he was so precious and perfect, I respect the sequence of events here and the story that was told.
At the end of the day, Noah was one of the most beautiful characters Iโve had the pleasure of reading about so far and I couldnโt dislike this book if I tried. It definitely made an impact on me and Iโm so happy I gave it a chance.

God this book was such a roller coaster. Immediately Noah Riley is a fantastic man and his mom raised him right. Ari having to work through her feelings for Chase TWICE was literal torture but at least she chose Noahโ twice. Chase Iโm never reading your book because you are literally evil and I canโt stand you or respect you at all. I cried so many times during this and when I finished the book I literally felt empty when it was over. The epilogue was so sweet and Iโm just so happy that after everything they ended up together.

It's very good but YA and I'm way out of that age range (60) so some of the word usage and attitudes were annoying to me. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5.
