Cheesy but lots of fun. I laughed out loud whilst the story dealt with serious issues.

Could use some editing

OMG! Billie's done it again. I couldn't stop laughing at the absurd hilarity of these fabulous fairytale characters. Les' twelve tasks given to him by Meg all for the sake of a date were an easy way for him to worm his way into her heart and forever. Meg was fighting a lot of demons from her past, but was finally able to get past them with Les' help. I adored seeing so many familiar characters and their relationships evolution.

'I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.'

This was such a great book to read with many laughs, swoons, and seat gripping moments. Hercules has to go through twelve labors to get a date with Meg but once he finishes he gets more than that. I laughed so many times throughout this book and really enjoyed reading this. I loved the play on Greek mythology also, I thought that was something original and not used often.

I received this book for free from in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This was the first book from this author or series for me. I loved it! I normally don't do mythology based romances because I end up picking them apart so much but this one was well done. Les (Hercules) is a fire fighter and super hot. I mean why wouldn't he be and all the ladies in town ogle him among other things they want.  Meghan wants that too but she refuses to give in to those baser urges. She gives Les the 12 labors as a way of keeping him away from her. Boy does that not go according to plan! Like I said this was a great read and one that made me what to pick up the two previous books. This review was originally posted on A Lucky Grace

Labors of a Hero is a classic romance story where boy meets girl, boy woos the girl (CZ the girl is already drooling all over him), the girl sets up some strange test, the boy passes the test, and they live happily ever after.

I loved the idea behind the book. Hercules is given a set of tasks (12 labors according to the Greek mythology) in order to bag a date with Meghan. These tasks are both funny and stupid. The author has made the whole story much more interesting with the help of dialogues. Character-wise, there isn’t much growth but steady brings a different kind of fun to the table. I loved all those cute animals and the fun and spice they brought to the story.

What lacked is the intensity/drama. The plot was extremely easy going with almost no challenges or hurdles. Even the darker bits were written in a simple way, without paying much attention. Overall, Labors of a Hero didn’t work for me, but you might find it interesting.
