After loving An Anonymous Girl, I knew I wanted to read more from this duo! I enjoyed the switching POVs, mainly between Shay and Cassandra/Jane! We also get flashes from other side characters both past and present.
I loved the character developments and complexities, with each POV they have distinctive voices from one another. Without being too spoiler-y, it was so interesting to see Cassandra and Jane going from these protectors/advocates to becoming exactly the people they fight against. It was truly stunning and compelling to see them do a 180, and showing a sort of exploration of people who go so far to achieve something no matter the cost that they in turn become the very thing they hate.
MY JAW WAS ON THE FLOOR!! The twist after twist after twist was so well executed, I never saw it coming and I will forever bow down to Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen 😱 I will be reading everything they write because they’re one of the few thriller authors that I can never predict what will happen next!
