I checked this out pretty much solely for the badass title, but the book itself was great! A pretty quick read, but I liked the variety of essays and themes that still worked well together.

an engaging collection of essays that provides readers plenty to pause and consider regarding societal racism told through the lens of innocuous topics like travel, throwing a party and learning to ride a motorcycle. Given my demographics, I connected most with On Kindness and On Throwing a party. But, view this collection as an essential step toward understanding and connecting to greater intersectionality.

I was surprised by how much I liked this book. Her tone, a bit annoyed and conspiratorial, worked great for me. The book is accessible and her perspectives are unique but not complicated or hard to comprehend. My one big issue were there were a lot of typos including misspellings of proper names. It made me question the book a bit.
