Genuinely engaging and thoroughly enjoyable. 

The writing is excellent and the story as well, I like the characters and can’t wait to get to know them more.

This was fun! Slow in parts, and a few moments I thought could have been emphasized more (and... It's all men all the time) but this was a sweet lil fantasy. I was definitely not paying enough attention for the twist.

I wasn't a fan of the reveals being 'hidden' in the way they were. I enjoyed the reveal in itself, but I felt a bit cheated.

 I'm glad I looked at some other reviews when I was ready to DNF at the halfway point, because it does get more interesting in the second half, but I still didn't really love it until the last chapter. Which leaves me understanding why people love this book so much, but also having NOT loved most of the reading experience, and not really inspired to continue the series.
