After two years of sitting on my tbr shelf, I finally read this book, and it just didn't capture me like I wanted it to. I found the plot to be pretty boring, and I saw some things coming from the beginning, but even the twist that I did predict, I just didn't care about it. Unfortunately, I think my expectations were too high with this one, and I won't be continuing with the series (in general, I don't like to read a lot of series).

It's funny because I really liked this book up until the big reveal. It seems everyone else hated the first half and loved the end.

3.75!! I liked the adventure, not sure about the ending.
I really wish the MC was actually a poor thief and not just a chosen noble who knew what was really happening the entire time :/
