2.5, barely 3. I felt like reading through her diary. Yes, it is rough, yes, topics are strong and meaningful… yes, I would rescue about one third (or less) of the poems.

No rating because I feel like poetry in general is very personal to the author. I really connected with quite a few of the poems in here. This was my first poetry book I’ve read and I loved it!

rupi did it again. i put reading this book off because her work has always meant so much to me, and i wanted to dive into this book at the right time. it turns out now was positively the right time, with my college graduation three days away! the last page of the book is all the courage and hope and inspiration i need to move forward and live for myself and no one (or nothing) else.

It really feels like she recycled her last 2 collections into a new one.

The only interesting part of this book was the story about her father

Absolutely stunning. I needed these words at this time in my life. I cried, I smiled, I laughed. I felt held.
