I think this collection is a good one for people (like me) who are 'beginners' in reading poetry. It was just very readable (which sounds like an insult, but isn't) and effective.

A few of my favourite poems in here were Productivity Anxiety, a Lifetime on the Road, Habit and Friendship Nostalgia.

I am disappointed and either I have forgotten how to read poetry or the quality of her writing is dropping every time she gets something out.

Poetry is a personal thing and like with 'milk and honey' the poems in 'home body' were a bit hit or miss for me, it often a bit more simplistic than I tend to gravitate towards sometimes feeling a bit shallow.
While I do really like how accessible Rupi's work is and I love how she incorporates illustrations, I don't think I'll read her work going forward.

I absolutely loved it.
This reflective collection of poetry really soothes my heart. There is always an intimate beauty in words that remind us we are never alone.

Poetry is always a very difficult thing to rate especially since some poems and collections just might not resonate. Sadly, I found I did not resonate with this collection as much as I had resonated with Kaur’s previous work.

This collection did not have as cohesive of a flow as her previous works did and so I struggled to read the collection as topics would bounce and did not seem to flow with the chapter titled themes. There were some more of the phrases found within the collection which is popular within modern poetry. While there were full length poems in this collection I was a little bummed to see so many phrase poems. This being said, there were poems I resonated with and found very beautiful.

Do be aware that Kaur discusses many sensitive topics in this collection that may be triggering. I had to skip a few poems and put down the collection multiple times as they were too difficult and triggering for me to read.
