Just one question? Would any of the death happen if it wasn’t for them knowing that they would die? I highly doubt it. All of the characters died because of the events they took because they got the alert. Rufus’ family would’ve been in the car, Howie would have been in the car, Mateo wouldn’t have turned on the stove at that moment, Rufus wouldn’t have walked in front of the car if it wasn’t for Mateo’s video. Or is it just some Final Destination shit and something else would’ve happened? I don’t quite get that tbh.

Whilst reading I kept thinking that this book would be amazing if it had more than a modicum of depth. Then I realised from other reviews that it's a YA novel, and then the lack of depth kind of made sense. Still though, it was all too surface level for it to really dig its way into my consciousness.
The plot is pretty cool if you ignore the obvious causality issues, and the characters are well-formed enough to make the ending fairly poignant, but the overall feeling I was left with was one of untapped potential. I would LOVE to read the gritty, sexy, mature-audiences-only adult version of this story.

Récit touchant avec des personnages très attachants (Matéo est trop pur pour ce monde). J'ai bien aimé comment les chapitres se découpent et comment les histoires se croisent. Les différents personnages sont plutôt bien développés bien que cliché. L'écriture est loin d'être parfaite, mais le roman reste agréable à lire. J'ai repéré quelques petites coquilles dans la version française, mais rien de grave. Le scénario, m'a beaucoup fait penser au manga "Ikigami, préavis de mort", mais en moins fin.
