I’ve heard so many good things about this book but I thought it was very average. the concept had the potential of being very good but I don’t think it was fleshed out enough. I liked the changing pov and the addition of chapters from minor characters perspectives. the ending was still powerful even though I knew it was coming. nice easy read.

I tried reading this book a little after it came out and had to stop because it stressed me out thinking about the fact that we all die. I knew it was going to be a really meaningful book that I would eventually be able to read. Years later I picked it up and wasnt dissapointed. I've heard how people don't like that the ending is the title but i disagree with that. I don't think the ending is the point of this book more the journey that happens to get there. Lately I have been feeling really stuck and just not happy with what I do with my day to day and this book gave me the perfect reality check I needed. I resonated with Mateo so much and I am so glad he found Rufus to bring him out of his shell. This was just a really beautiful book and I am excited to continue with this series.
