I am not a Patterson fan, except for his "Women's Murder Club" series, but I think I am now a fan of this series as well. Michael Bennett is a NYPD cop and the widowed father of 10. It is interesting to see how he juggles his job and family. And they are a nice quick break from things!

4! Still a bit slower than a usual JP novel BUT I did like this one better than the first. Even this case was a step up from the last! Though I am still failing to understand how this series is better than Alex Cross!?

This is the first time I've read one of his Michael Bennett books but I liked it a lot. I'll have to track down some of the earlier ones.

This is the second book in the Michael Bennett series. I like the main character. He is a recently widowed NYPD detective with 10 adopted children at home. I also still love the 2-3 page writing style Patterson uses. I always feel like I have accomplished a lot when I finished a chapter, no matter how long or short it is.

This novel is a light, engaging, easy suspense/thriller that reads like a made-for-TV movie. The characters are familiar (tough, loving, nice guy Irish cop who misses and loves his deceased wife; adorable kids; feisty Irish nanny; a cocky fatherly priest; a pushy, sexy reporter, etc.) and there is the evenly paced plot with short cliffhanger chapters that keeps the reader turning pages. Enjoyable and recommended for die-hard Patterson and Ledwidge fans.

Another solid thriller by James Patterson. Second book in the Michael Bennett series, I can't wait to see where these go next!

This was my first James Patterson novel, and I enjoyed it. There was suspense, there was family, there was mystery, and there was action.

Holy cow, this was so intense! James Patterson can write, that's for damn sure.

Great book
