Ana really did her thing with this one!

The plot was chefs kiss. The slow burn.. y'all, my heart literally ACHED for Christian & Stella. When they both finally gave in.. no crumbs left bc Christian and Stella ATE!

Christian was brought to his knees by Stella.

This was a good conclusion to the Twisted series. I liked the dynamic we had in this one and that the main conflict wasn't heavily reliant on a misunderstanding. We got a lot of sweet and genuine moments of love between Stella and Christian and I was really glad we did. It was great to see the perspective of our final couple and close out the series with that time jump scene at the end, getting to see where everyone ended up. I like all of our female leads in this series, but Jules and Bridget are probably my favourites. I think what I learned from these books is that maybe they just weren't my preference. I enjoyed them, but didn't love any of them. I tend to look for a little more humour and silliness and I think these just took themselves too seriously for my taste for what they are. I think it's also because all the men in these books are so tyical: man with traumatic past trying to hide their emotions until one woman makes them feel love, cookie cutter tough and brooding with a soft heart. Not to knock this character type, generally, I do like this trope, but I think I got a bit tired of it over the books. Lots of trauma response representation in these books too (not a complaint, just an observation). Regardless of them not being exactly what I look for, I'm still glad I read them and I am pleased that by the end of the series I got more of those female friendships I was looking for in the beginning.

i eye-rolled so hard my eyes might as well be perpetually stuck inside my skull

"I want to make a few things clear." Christian's lips brushed mine with each word. "Touch another man, he dies. Let another man touch you, he dies. Tell me I can't touch you..." His grip tightened on the back of my neck as his voice dropped. "And I will fucking die."

Christian turned out to be much sweeter than I anticipated, and he made this story my second favorite in the series. But overall, I’m just glad to be done with all four books because it took me way too long to get through, and most of them weren't even that exciting.

The stalker storyline in Twisted Lies was especially disappointing. After all the buildup, it turned out to be just some random guy from Stella’s past. The kidnapping itself was over way too quickly and only lasted one chapter. Also, it felt like Stella was there in her kidnapper's hut for just about an hour until Christian rescued her almost immediately. A real waste of a dramatic plot line imo.
The ending wasn't great either. The epilogue was way too sappy for my taste. I got bored reading it.

thank you to valentine pr for sending this arc!!
twisted lies was SUCH an anticipated book for me and it did not disappoint! with the final book of the “twisted series” we get such a classic fake dating, forced proximity, slowburn book with a grumpy, possessive hero and sunshine heroine. although the books plot itself was a pretty generic “fake dating” book, i enjoyed it the entire time. christian and stella have such great chemistry that i didn’t even get bored with the slowburn and felt it added to the tension of their relationship. there were a lot of little moments i loved in this book with soft christian and bad ass stella but of course i won’t spoil lol. overall a perfect ending to this series and great introduction to her next books.

i’m so incredibly obsessed i couldn’t stop reading, this is definitely my favorite book in the entire series!!! the plot AND the characters, it’s all so so good and i will forever cherish this series, it has such a special place in my heart and i’m so sad that i finished
