Este libro es una obra maestra. Después de haberme leído los tres primeros de la serie en estos últimos dos meses, la cantidad de piezas que tiene el puzzle es alucinante. La prosa es maravillosa, los personajes son ya amigos míos, y decir que este es uno de mis libros favoritos no le hace justicia. Qué gran tragedia que se nos fuera el autor tan pronto.

This book is a masterpiece. I read the first three books in the series in the past two months, and the intricacy of the puzzle is baffling. The writing style is superb, I consider the characters my friends, and saying that this is one of my favourite books does not quite convey my love for it. Ruíz Zafón's untimely passing was a great tragedy.

I'm a bit emotional now that I've finished reading this book. I read my first Zafón book, the Shadow of the Wind, at the age of 11, and I've been hooked ever since. When people ask me about my favourite authors, it's always a tie between J.K. Rowling and Zafón. When people ask me for book recommendations, the Cemetery of Forgotten Books series is what I recommend. Every time a new book in the series came out, I had to read it immediately. Now, around 12 years later, I'm sad knowing there won't be another instalment in the series, but I'm also extremely grateful for this wonderful last book.
Because I'm simply blown away by this book. I finally feel like I'm seeing the whole picture. I didn't know what to expect going into this book. Series finales often tend to disappoint me, as there usually are far to many unanswered questions for my liking. But I wasn't disappointed here. I'm feeling like everything now makes sense. I've been struggling with my interpretation of "the Angel's Game" for years, but I've now come to terms with it, and I can't wait to re-read the entire series, knowing what I know now.
I really don't want to give too much away, but let me just tell you that this is by far the most nerve-racking, fast-paced and exciting instalment in the series. I especially appreciate the fact that we got a super-interesting, flawed, badass female protagonist. 10 stars for Alicia alone.
And finally, I'd like to thank Carlos Ruiz Zafón. His books were the reason I decided to learn Spanish. His books are the reason why I will be visiting Barcelona for the 12th time this summer (I've absolutely fallen in love with this city). His books are one reason (Harry Potter being the other) for my love of reading. I can say with certainty that I wouldn't be the person I am today if it hadn't been for Shadow of the Wind. So, thank you, thank you, thank you, Mister Zafón!

La culminación de un viaje que no quería que terminara, y que fue inolvidable en cada paso. A estas alturas, confiaba plenamente en Carlos Ruiz Zafón, aunque no siempre sabía exactamente hacia dónde nos estaba llevando. Especialmente al inicio, cuando se introducen varios personajes nuevos y me encontraba preguntándome por qué estábamos pasando tanto tiempo con ellos en lugar de volver directamente con aquellos que ya conocía y que se habían ganado un lugar especial.
Pero como en toda gran historia, todo empieza a cobrar sentido conforme te adentras más en las páginas. Todo contribuye a un cierre que se siente tan grande como la saga misma.
El Cementerio de los Libros Olvidados es, sin duda, la obra magna de Zafón. Y aunque cuesta decir adiós, qué privilegio haber sido parte de este viaje.
Pero como en toda gran historia, todo empieza a cobrar sentido conforme te adentras más en las páginas. Todo contribuye a un cierre que se siente tan grande como la saga misma.
